Fantasy Demo Reel

These are two tracks written in a Fantasy Style, which take inspiration from the works of Nobuo Uematsu, Koji Kondo, Howard Shore and Ramin Djwadi in the respective works; Final Fantasy IX, The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, The Lord Of The Rings and Game of Thrones.

To Battle We Go
The Lute and Choir are aimed at creating a sad feeling, while the Strings play a melody around a descending leitmotif while she is searching. The piece then changes from Lute to Harp, with a descending Violin piece, almost as if she has come to the end of her search but is not joyful. The rhythmic elements are then added in as she begins to prepare and tension builds and the leitmotif is re-added back into the piece on a French Horn.

Entering Impetus
The inspiration I took for this was the idea of having a piece that was almost a battle march to begin with, that develops by seeming to get faster using quicker brass rhythms, until it changes with a short rising section, that uses a piccolo and flute melody to build tension, before a the piece reaches an apex with a violin melody, that could be representative of the mood of the battle, before reaching a short final section, in which the piece features a harmony of brass over a string section before fading away.

Neither of the images is not my own, I am just using it to demonstrate the kind of character that would be used in the project.
